ANNOUNCEMENT:

Races are run rain or shine unless weather conditions threaten the safety of the athletes. Be prepared for the weather by looking at the forecast the night before and packing appropriately. Meets are rarely cancelled so it is your responsibility to prepare for the conditions.

Course Sites for our Meets

Parents, we certainly encourage you to come out to as many meets as you can make to see the hard work your daughter is putting in. Note that all meets are outdoor events, usually in a park or around the campus of a school. There are no bleachers or seating provided, and often times you will want to move around to see your daughter on as many parts of the course as you can. When the team arrives to a meet we will set up our “camp” or home base. Please note this is NOT an area for parents. Respect that the girls are prepping for their races and need a place that is just for the team. Remember that if your daughter played basketball, volleyball, or softball, she would be sitting on the bench with her team, not in the bleachers with you. Thank you in advance for understanding! In addition, parents are never allowed at the starting line.

The site of “home” meets, about a mile south of West Leyden

here this season is still questionable. We will keep the team informed of changes in locations, meets, etc.
